From 13th till 15th February, the start-up workshop of the ITaRS (Initial Training for Atmospheric Remote Sensing) occured in Athens. At the workshop, 11 PhDs from different universities that were selected for this Marie Curie projects gathered together with their supervisors and representatives of the private sector companies. From the ATMOS group, Herman Russchenberg (standing in the middle in the back) and the PhD candidate Lukas Pfitzenmaier (sitting in the 3rd column in the middle) were participating. The focus of the workshop was about giving an overview on the different research topics of the fellows and network building.
The next official meeting of the ITaRS project will be during the first summer school in Bucharest end of September 2013. There, four post-docs will complete the group of the fellows.
